Courtyard Hotel Downtown Edmonton

I live in Fort McMurray, which lacks a lot of services and stores, so I made a long list of things I needed and drove to Edmonton to buy them. The following pictures are what I saw along the way.

Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, Edmonton
This hotel is great. It is located on the edge of the North Saskatchewan River Valley in downtown Edmonton. The views of Edmonton from the 10th floor are spectacular. The cost of $129 dollars per night is good, given that this hotel is located where it is. You will really have to look hard to match this value, although I have since heard that there are better-valued hotels nearby.

The hotel has a workout room and spa, but lacks a pool. I also thought that the room service menu could use a few more items. The food was good though, so I really can't complain. Breakfast was buffet style for $13 dollars with great views over the River Valley while you eat.

There is valet underground parking for $18 dollars a day, which is a good deal, since parking outside without the valet is pretty much the same price.

The hotel's location makes getting around Edmonton easy, as it connected to some major roads.

I'd recommend this hotel, but I'd do some more research as there are better deals at other hotels.
