You have to stop somewhere...
June 10, 2008
We all know it's easy for plans to get a little out of hand. When you're looking at a map, it's so easy to add on one more site, town, or country to the itinerary. When you're talking with your travel buddy, it's so easy to get caught up in the moment and spit out idea after idea of where you could go next and how you're sure you could fit it in. Suddenly you've got 3 weeks to get from Montana to Panama and you wonder how you got there. The planning of this trip started out the same way, but as time wore on, we realized we would have to start doing what we all hate doing: picking our favourite children. But how do you choose? When each of our darlings is special in their own way?! Well we made it through the process without family group electrotherapy sessions and few slammed doors and we came up with a loose plan.
Anyway, the good thing about these children is that if you get tired of one, you can just switch them with another.
