Afternoon tour

Lars led us around the area through several small towns for a ride of 38km.  The wind was gusting 15 - 20 mph but the temps warmed to almost 66 degrees.  We had fun dodging cars, scooters, and other cyclists in town.  We visited Lars & Elizabeth's friends Edward and Sally and their beautiful historic home and gardens.  Sally served us tea, and we played with their dalmation Pepper while Edward explained the history of the house.  We hope to add photos soon.  We rode through rain on the way back, so for anyone concerned we had a shower today!  We also had our protein as we went through swarms of insects by the five lakes.  Even Lars stopped talking. . .

Chuck was busy studying the inside of his eyelids, but is not grouchy tonight.  We're having dinner in Naarden tonight.  Ciao

Dr. Larry, Sir Kenneth, and Lady Di went on a short ride (20 km) through Naarden and around the fortress.  The temperature is around 60 degrees and the wind is gusting to 15 mph.  We found the outdoor market with wonderful fresh fruit, flowers, cheese etc.  Then we found Lars' home and had a coffee in the fortress area.  We found our way back and purchased some leg warmers in the bike store.  Yeah, Lady Di is warm and happy :-)  Chuck arrived on schedule and we are having some lunch and making plans for the afternoon.
