SHINKANSEN "speed bullet train" photos & video
Shinkansen is a high-speed rail system that serves as the core of Japan's rail transportation network called "JR"
The Shinkansen is the best comfortable and speedy travel throughout Japan but also high frequency. For example, at least six trains per hour (not per day!) operate between Tokyo and Shin-Osaka Stations during daytime hours. All told, the shinkansen between Tokyo and Osaka carries 200,000 people each day, much more than any other long-distance mass-transportation system.
Nozomi mean Hopefull the hight level and faster spedd (270 km/h) very few trains on the JR network that cannot be used with the Japan rail pass
Hikari mean light Hikari trains stop a little bit more frequently than nozomi Kodama mean echo stop each stationis the slowest category.
