We crossed the border into Croatia in the morning, excited because we knew we were finally in a country with a coast line and beautiful waters!  We had heard all about Split at the southern end of Croatia, and we thought it would be much quicker to drive straight through Bosnia to Split.  But as we crossed the croatian border, and entered the Bosnian border, we found out we needed visas to enter!  We didnt know this, so obviously didnt have one, but the border control people said that if we went into a building 50m away we could buy one for about 20 euros there.  we thought that 20 euros would still be alot cheaper than the petrol we would have used driving all the way around bosnia to Split.  So we went to the office, and knocked on the door, but our luck,  no one was there!

So we had to drive back into croatia, and all the way around Bosnia, but decided not to go to Split, as we would just have to back track the whole way back up the coast.  I think I drove for like 15 hours this day, because i so badly wanted to get to the water!  It was hot now too, and was boardies and singlets from about this point on for the next two and a half months!  Now we just had to find somewhere on the croatian coast to hang out for a few days!
