A wonderful Fall day.. sunny and quite warm :o)
Fall means the end of summer, but the start of some amazing colors in nature. The nights are getting colder, but the days can still be warm like summer. Like today.. when I got up this morning it was only 4 degrees centigrades.. about 40 F. But the sun is up and now it's 20 c (68F).
Took a walk down by Lake Mjøsa a bit south of where I live. This place is called Totenvika, and VikenII. The premises holds a campground, a beach, a marina and a "partyboat".
The "partyboat" used to be the ferry crossing Lake Mjøsa between Gjøvik in Oppland County and Mengsol in Hedmark County. It has been put on shore and turned into a partyboat. They have also added a bit to it, so that the "tale" is standing in the water. Kinda cool actually. I've never been there for a party, but it's quite popular by the locals. :o) ( Ok, I don't consider myself local, since I'm not from here.. lol )
It was quite a windy day, at least by the lake, so the wave created some nice splashes against the shore. There's something so recreational and refreshing about being close to water and here the waves crash against the shore, the sun shining and wind in your hair. I could stay out there for hours...
But... all good things must come to an end, and I had to head home. I will go back there later though...on sunny days ;o)
