Super day at Stenberg Open-air museum - and the Haunted house ;o)

I decided this morning that I was gonna go to Stenberg after being at the gym. The weather was super and excellent for a day outdoor. After taking care of a few things at home, it was time to go.

Stenberg lies about 15 minutes drive from me, so it's no hassle getting there. I packed up my camera, the novel I started reading last night and a bottle of water and took off. I missed my exit, so I went a tiny bit too far.. no big deal.. I just turned around and found my way. As I haven't been here in many, many years it was nice to be back. And I've always been here after dark as well, since the story goes that it's haunted. I don't know anyone who hasn't tried to be there after dark.. I've never seen any ghosts though.. LOL

Anyway; my starting point today was so peaceful and serene.

Stenberg is a huge place and since they've turned it into a museum, they have moved different buildings from various places around the county here. But the main farm still remains the main attraction. Or at least this one building they claim is haunted. It's a real cool house, and I have no problems imagine how life must have been like back in the 18th century. And it wouldn't surprise me if it's really haunted either. Ghost stories intrigues me, and this particular story has been told thruout the generations. Maybe, just maybe there are some truth too it? I'd love to find out...;o)

My walk around the area took me a little over an hour, and that includes picture taking. All around they have placed benches, so that you can take a rest if you want to. During the summer months they have various activities here and the main building is open for guided tours. I'll write a review about it and put up some more info on opening hours etc.

After my walk, I sat down at one of the picnic tables, read a bit from my novel and just enjoyed my time in the sun. :o))

By 5pm the sun was slowly starting to set and the air got a bit chilly. Time to pack up, and go home.. a great day was over and I was already planning my next one..
