What do you do when the weather is absolutely awesome and you have a neck that is totally killing you? Do you stay home and feel sorry for yourself, or do you take a couple extra painkillers and head out? Well, I did the latter and I'm so not sorry that I did. It would have been a shame to stay in in such beautiful weather.
I packed up my camera, a bottle of water, sunglasses, grabbed my keys and took off. I drove up to this lake I was at this summer, figuring it would be beautiful up there with the amazing colors on the trees. I was partially right. But for some reason there were still a lot of green around the lake, so the colors didn't stand out that much. No complaining though.. it was still wonderful and I loved just sitting by the water and relax in the sun.
After my time by the lake, I drove a bit further and got to this small creek. It has these little waterfalls, so it's a great setting for pictures. As most people probably have noticed by now, I have an absolute love for water in almost any kind of form and shape. ;o) I just think there's something fascinating about water. We need it to survive and so does our planet. But water can also be a fierce enemy and we need to view and treat it with respect. Same goes for the nature as a whole. I mean, what would we be, if we didn't have the nature? And I think it's time we started to take more care of it and preserve it for the future. Ok, enough with the “politics”. lol...
Moving on, I took a walk in the forest. It wasn't actually that many "fire" colors, but beautiful just the same. I love the woods, when the sun is shining like today.. it makes for some pretty neat shadows and makes my fantasy work. What's lurking in the deep, dark forest? Hahaha...
And you can tell from the pics, that even though I was alone, I had a great time.. wonder when I will grow up? Hmmm.. hopefully never :p
Time to leave the woods and head for home. Only I decided to make a quick stop by Lake Mjøsa first. It's so rare to see the lake so still as today. The water surface was mirror like and I got some great reflection shots.
Thanks for joining me.. Hope you enjoyed this day and little trip as much as I did :o)
