Srila Prabhupada established the New Vrindaban Community in America in 1968. A society based on Krishna Consciousness. A small band of devotees lived on a small farm with no electricity or running water. The land was at that time being used as a dump. After a time, the 100 acre farm became 500 acres. A home for Prabhupada became a labor of love and took 7 years to complete.
