Chevies

In 2006/2007 I lived in Nevis, a small Caribbean island. I did an internship for my study Sports, Management & Business. That was definitely the time when I fell in love with the Caribbean culture. I also visited the islands St. Martin, Anguilla and Dominica.
Relax place to hang out at the beach
Chevies is a beach bar at Pinney's beach close to the capital of Nevis, Charlestown. Chevies is close to Sunshine's Bar & Grill (see my other review) and Four Seasons Resort (see review).
Chevies is owned and runned by a small local family. This bar is especially visited by locals during the week. Party time is Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. At Sundays a crazy (English) guy, Jaz, is playing music from reggae to the 80's. Funny guy. Since the island is really small I met him many times in town, just like the owners.
You can sit outside at the beach or "inside" under roof. The bar is an open place. Only the kitchen has walls.
From lunchtime until late at night in the weekends you can order some snacks like garlic bread, chicken wings and patato fries. Sometimes they have fish, just out of the ocean. It's just snack quality, but when you're hungry it will taste just fine.
There is not really some thing special about this place. I just liked to hang out here on Sundays and Fridays before going to Courtyard (other review). It cheaper than Sunshine's and the ambiance is just the same, even though Chevies is much smaller and not visited by the rich and famous... A relax place to be.
