Nisbet Plantation

Newcastle Travel Blog › entry 9 of 12 › view trip summary

In 2006/2007 I lived in Nevis, a small Caribbean island. I did an internship for my study Sports, Management & Business. That was definitely the time when I fell in love with the Caribbean culture. I also visited the islands St. Martin, Anguilla and Dominica.
Resort at most beautiful beach of Nevis
This resort has a long history, which I'm not going to tell here right now. Only that there are still historical things of the sugar industry are visible.
Nisbet Plantation is a luxury resort with a lot of palm trees at the lawn to the beach. I think it one of the most beautiful beaches of Nevis. The sand is almost white, the view is great and it's very private and quiet.
I never stayed at this place for dinner or to sleep, because it's too expensive for me. But at Thursday nights there is a live band playing good caribbean dancing music. Since this place is expensive (also for drinks) and pretty exclusive, not many locals show up here. Mostly the rich people on holiday try to make some dance moves. If you're with some friends it's easy to have a good time. The dance floor is in the open air. Tired? There is a big bar and many beach chairs. Walking to the shore you think you are the only one at the beach.
