Day 1

I had really looked forward to this vacation because I just love Portugal and I was actually the first real vacation for my girlfriend Kaija ever!! I was happy to come to Portugal because I have some of my best memories from this country and I love the people and the food - and the sun....

We arrived late in the evening and hurried to the hotel in the rented car - even though it was midnight when we checked in, we took a drive around in Lisboa just to feel the atmosphere of the city and get the first scents of this wonderful country.

Kaija very very quickly spotted the shoestores and this country she loved from the first night:-). I had to stop the car I think a least 20 times so she could see shoes she hardly had seen anywhere else and at prices that were crazy. This week was also the first week of the sales...
