I have now been working more than 3 years in the lovely city of Brussels and I have the last 18 months had the fortune of living here full time. One of the first things I have become to understand is why expats don't want to leave again. When I arrived I had a goal of walking the streets of Brussels and driving the roads of Belgium. One of my goals here is to visit all large cities in Belgium and afterwards know a lot about Belgium.
O Peres au Quai
Restaurant “O Peres au Quai” is situated along the canal not far from the city centre of Tournai. The restaurant is concentrating on grilled food, but other this are also being prepared. The restaurant has both a nice terrace and a garden for when the weather gets nice.

I visited the restaurant with some colleagues for lunch on a windy day so we settled for an inside table. The restaurant was almost full and luckily we had booked in advance.

The restaurant was very cosy inside but even from outside. I have always loved that everything original is preserved. We got a nice little table – it is in the French part of the county; you are actually lucky when four people can fit a table for four!
The waitress was a nice elderly lady with a sweet attitude, she recommended some different specialities. I chose a fois gras with some grilled goat cheese – it was amazing. The dish was served with a sweet white wine which was just sweet nectar to me.
