O Peres au Quai

Tournai Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

I have now been working for more than 2 years in this lovely city of Brussels. The last 9 month I had the fortune of living here full time. I have become to understand why expats dont wanna leave again. One of my goals here is to visit all large cities in Belgium and afterwards know a lot about Belgium. Living in the heart of Europe also gives me the possibility to visit many of the larger cities in the middle of Europe by car or by plane. The years I am here I will try to see a lot.
O Peres au Quai
Restaurant “O Peres au Quai” is situated a long the canal not far from the city centre of Tournai. The restaurant is consetrating on grilled food, but other this are also being prepared. The restaurant has both a nice terrace and a garden for when the weather gets nice.

I visited the restaurant with some collegues for lunch. The restaurant was almost full and luckly we had booked in advance. The reaurant was very cosy inside but even from outside. I have always loved that everything orginal is perserved. We got a nice little table – it is in the french part of the county. The waitrees was a nice elderly lady with a sweet attitude, she recommended some different specialities. I chose a fois gras with some grilled goat cheese – it was amazing. The dish was served with a sweet white wine which was just sweet nectar to me.
