Paris in November

Just another crazy impulse; I had just driven my son to the airport so he could get back to Copenhagen and I kept on thinking about Rudolph’s pictures from Paris. So I thought what the heck I will drive down there.
Now 3h30m later I am sitting in Rue St Denis having a large bierre blonde and a smoked Caesar salad. Life can turn mysterious ways. I parked the car close to Les Halles knowing the streets would be more crowded here and I like this quarter of Paris.
Rue St Denis lives 2 life’s in a 24h cycle; 16h of normal shopping and 8h of sex shops and hookers. Even the end of the street which is close to Les Halles has a lot of sex shops but next to them there are fashion shops.
Sitting here in The Frog & the Rostbeef makes me remember on day when I got off in the wrong end of Rue St.
I remember I walked fast but not too fast; I didn't want to look too eager to get away and at one square a taxi drove in front of me and blocked my way; he rolled the window down and told me that he knew some much better girlsJ. The only thing that I at that moment could think about was that I next time would make sure I got off at the right metro station.
Well now I am back here again and this time in daylight. It is a small world down here in middle Europe and what possibilities, a few hours ago in Brussels and now Paris. The traffic was very modest on the way down and it only rained a little at some places. The temperature here is 14 degrees and it is quite mild for being the middle of November. Paris feels much warmer than in Brussels ever though it is almost the same temp.Friendly girls they have here at The Frog & the Rostbeef it is now the second time they ask how I am doing and if I like the food; and the salad was actually good. The beer was also ok but very mild; I guess I am getting used to the Belgian beers.
