Mamma Roma, Pizzaria al Taglio

I have now been working more than 3 years in the lovely city of Brussels and I have the last 18 months had the fortune of living here full time. One of the first things I have become to understand is why expats don't want to leave again. When I arrived I had a goal of walking the streets of Brussels and driving the roads of Belgium. One of my goals here is to visit all large cities in Belgium and afterwards know a lot about Belgium.
Mamma Roma - eat there or take it away
When your stroll around in the beautiful Brussels in the surroundings of Ixelles which by the way is a really great place and you feel for a quick pizza for lunch or as a diner in the evening you should step in to Mamma Roma on Chaussee de Vleurgat number 5.

Mamma Roma is one these places where you can pick from different pizzas just the size you feel for. The pizza slices are sold by weight so watch out for the hunger of your eyes, it is very easy to super shop in this place.

The place is usually filled with young people, students and a lot of expats like my self who dont like to cook for themselves.

You can use the place as a take-away or sit down at on of the tables which are high – like sitting at a bar. You sit on long rows so it is easy to meet new people.

Their pizzas are just great, I can’t judge if they are the best in town because I have heard that about many places but they are damn good and there are plenty to chose from.
