Restaurant Dona Flor

I have now been working more than 3 years in the lovely city of Brussels and I have the last 18 months had the fortune of living here full time. One of the first things I have become to understand is why expats don't want to leave again. When I arrived I had a goal of walking the streets of Brussels and driving the roads of Belgium. One of my goals here is to visit all large cities in Belgium and afterwards know a lot about Belgium.
Brazil in Brussels
Dona Flor is a Brazilian restaurant in Ixelles in Brussel very close to where I live.

It is a very cosy restaurant with nice waiters but also with exotic atmosphere. In the background while you are eating there you always have the sound of Rio´s carneval. Another thing that I like about the place is their humour; on the menu they state that they work the brazilian way so be patient! - and this can be very true on a Saturday evening where you can wait very long for your courses.

The food is very nice and not expensive. They serve fantastic drinks like caipiriha and mojito´s - but take care.

I had a very pleasant evening with my friend there and after mojito´s and red wine we went out afterwards in the cold night and enjoyed the nightlife around Place Chatelein.
