Eb en Vloed

Brussels Travel Blog › entry 230 of 286 › view trip summary

I have now been working more than 3 years in the lovely city of Brussels and I have the last 18 months had the fortune of living here full time. One of the first things I have become to understand is why expats don't want to leave again. When I arrived I had a goal of walking the streets of Brussels and driving the roads of Belgium. One of my goals here is to visit all large cities in Belgium and afterwards know a lot about Belgium.
Fantastic fish dishes
Situated at one of many hotspots in the central part of Brussels St. Katelijnneplein, you can find a long row of excellent fish restaurants. One of the ones I prefer is Eb en Vloed. The restaurant has been refurnished less than a year ago and the interior has been elegantly redecorated in black and white and through the high windows you look out on the always lively square.

Inside and just before you start eating, the 'pousses en claire' in the Oyster Bar will make your mouth water; in front of you there are a wide range of exquisite dishes and if you are one who cares for an authentic bouillabaisse; the one they have is truly great.

The waiters are very swift and really service minded; sometimes you don’t even have to say what you need they will observe if you are running out of butter, bread or wine in you glass.

The dishes are presentable and they will inspire you to come back. It is truly a good place, that I can return to again and again.

They serve also a great lunch menu in the range of 25 euro with 3 dishes but without coffee. You will not be dissapointed
