Taffel 19

I have now been working more than 3 years in the lovely city of Brussels and I have the last 18 months had the fortune of living here full time. One of the first things I have become to understand is why expats don't want to leave again. When I arrived I had a goal of walking the streets of Brussels and driving the roads of Belgium. One of my goals here is to visit all large cities in Belgium and afterwards know a lot about Belgium.
Taffel 19
In the Cleydael golf club which has a fabulous club house they have a very cosy restaurant called Taffel 19. The interior is held in a very clean style but still respecting the old building that it is situated in. The ceiling is an example of excellent wood work and it is a treat to admire if you are a fan of this. The walls are kept clean and also respecting the building which are surrounding the castle which is the centre piece in set-up. The wall is displaying the bare original red clay bricks and is adding to the cosy atmosphere.

The food is displayed on nice plates and is artistically built up in order to keep the looking as attractive as the surrounding setting. I had only a simple dish which were very good and fully fulfilled my expectations.

The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor serving and both areas are very attractive.

The restaurant is situated at Cleydael Golf Club, if you want to go there you better check availability by phoning them before going there. The castle is private.
