A short trip to Belgrade
July 21, 2008
I decided to go somewhere that had not had the tourist boom and Belgrade it was. Nice people and I felt safe even though I was there after the arrest of Karadic. There are a few souvenir stalls mainly near the Kalemegdan Citadel which is an ancient fortress site overlooking the meeting of the Saba and Danube rivers. Worth a look for sure. For eats the Russian Tsar restaurant is amazing, costly but well worth it. Goand see the House of Flowers where Tito is buried and the stadiums of Red Star and Partizan are nearby there.
