6:00a • Alarms go off….snoozed twice! Fog everywhere….during our drive, my colleague commented that it felt like driving through an Irish countryside. Funny thing is, neither of us has been there! What great imaginations…
8:00a • Arrived at Epic. Grabbed some breakfast there.
5:10p • Back in
7:30p • Where is our friend? He’s supposed to be picking us up and continuing with the tour of the town….in the meantime………we’re staaaaaaaaarving!!
8:10p • Nick”s Bar and Restaurant……BBQ beef sandwich/fries and a SPOTTED COW served in a nice restaurant/bar imprinted logo glass.
9:30p • The Icon Restaurant and Tapas Bar. Chocolate mouse cake with vanilla bean ice cream and caramel sauce paired with Bailey’s warm coffee……………YUM!!!!! The staff is great…allowed me to totally act like a tourist….lovely!
10:30p • Paul’s Club. FAT SQUIRREL, rich and tasty!! Acted like a drunk, but totally sober, hahahahaha! Hugged a tree…..
11:45p • University of Wisconsin-Madison. Nice campus, even in the cover of night.
It’s official, by the end of this day, my colleagues thinks me strange……….but strangely love it, hahahaha! I treat this trip in part as a mini-vacation since I’ve never been here. Yes, I am here because of work, but why not make the most of it. Most of my colleagues were perplexed by that reasoning, ergo totally bug-eyed by my casualness. All work, no play…….prison!!!!!!!
12:15a • what the heck…….got up to my room, couldn’t open my door because my keycard was demagnetized.
1:08a • Can’t find my work phone…..tried calling it…..NOTHING……WTF?!?!?! Where did I leave that thing…….eh, I’ll deal tomorrow.
