A 4 day trip with 7 friends visiting 12 Hot Springs in the Atlanta Area of Idaho. Amazingness pretty much sums it up!
Atlanta Hot Springs
Out of the 12 Hot Springs we went to this weekend this Hot Springs was all of our favorite! The pool is chest deep and fairly clean and big enough to put a good 10 people in. There is even a built in outlet pipe for easy draining. The temperature was a comfortable 105*. There is also a big geothermal pond below the springs for swimming. We didn’t swim in it but I’ve heard it’s nice. The scenery around you truly completes the entire experience!

If you head over to enjoy these great springs, please do your part to keep it cleaner than when you got there! Bring a trash bag just in case, thanks!

Getting there:
From the Stop sign in Atlanta head 1.2 miles on the road to Power Plant camp ground. Look for a large pond on your right, there is a little parking area right after the pond and the Springs are directly above the pool.

Chattanooga Hot Springs
This is my favorite Hot Springs in the Atlanta area. The location couldn’t be better, right on the river next to a cliff. The springs crash down the cliff into a nice sized pool that’s big enough to squeeze 10 people into. The temperature is a perfect 105*.

Getting there:
From the Stop sign in Atlanta continue 1.1 down the road towards Power Plant camp ground. Just across from the Atlanta pond look for a side road to the left marked by a tree that bisects it. Follow the road to a grassy flat by a cliff. The springs are on private land, so no camping. Park here at the flat and follow the steep and slippery path down to the springs.

These springs are a very nice soak and the location couldn’t be better. The pools are right on the rivers edge with a great view of the Sawtooth Mountains in front of you. The temperature is about perfect, 100° or so but can be fine tuned by moving rocks around and letting in river water.

These pools would be submerged during spring run-off so come in early to late fall, they were good in late August when we went.

Getting There:
From the Stop sign in Atlanta continue 1.4 down the road towards Power Plant camp ground. You’ll see a big grassy clearing to your left with some dirt parking lots. There are also some camp sights here as well. Park here and follow a trail down to the riverside pools.
