Getting there is half the battle.

This was a very fun and exciting trip, mainly on Oahu with one day trip to Maui. I got to go to Pearl Harbor, a luau on the beach, Diamond Head, a dinner cruise, the Polynesian Cultural Center, the North Shore, and Sea Life Park. I also flew to Maui and went on a whale watch excursion, and saw part of the road to Hana.

Getting there is half the battle.

I have to be up at 330 am to get ready, make sure I have everything, and be ready to be picked up at 5.  Of course, the shuttle comes around 520, just when I am getting ready to call and get worried at someone.  I make it to the airport with plenty of time, and the flight to Salt Lake is fairly painless, if not a little squished.

The layover is just long enough for me to get some breakfast and continue on, and the flight to Honolulu is 6 1/2 hours of mostly over the ocean flying..  made me a little nervous.. lol.

The shuttle picks me up at the airport, and I am off to the hotel, which is on the outer edge of Waikiki, and not bad for the price.  I wouldn't consider it a luxury hotel by any stretch of the imagination, but for the purpose I need it for, it is quite fine.  I take some pictures, and it's time for a nap which lasts an entire hour, despire having been up for about 15 hours at that point.

Dinner is downstairs at TGI Friday's, and then it's off to bed because I have an early day tomorrow.
