Living and working in a developing country like Peru presents amazing opportunities for social involvement. This is but a sample of the amazing experiences gained through even the smallest activities. Merry Christmas 2006 everybody!

San Lucas, here we come!

We work a lot in the amazon and so to celebrate the great year our company had we decided to bring a little joy to a community directly within our area of operations. San Lucas is but a small village not very far from Iquitos, the capital of the peruvian amazon state of Loreto. Of course every social activity has two parts, the fun and the work. Here is a little sample of the fun part of our merry christmas show.

Where else to 150 kids get to enjoy the sight of Santa Clause landing in the middle of their village in a helicopter filled with gifts for each one of them? And where else will I have a chance to jump on a helicopter together with Santa Clause (and his little green elf) and photograph some amazing landscapes of the amazon rainforest? For nothing in the world was I going to miss this chance!
