After a very scenic drive from Breckenridge (took Colorado Highway 'something' - don't recall the road, just go north on Hwy 9 out of Breckenridge and turn right at the traffic light when you come to the High School) and joined Colorado Highway 6 through the Keystone and Arapahoe Basin ski areas, over the Continental Divide a second time at Loveland Pass and then joined back up with Interstate 70 into Denver. Spent some time walking along the 16th Street Mall - which was crawling with people here for the Democratic National Convention. It was funny seeing all the weirdos out shouting about their 'causes' and everybody all dressed up to support O'bama. I won't get into U.S. politics here and who I do and do not support in our upcoming Presidential elections.
Had a great time walking the Mall. Was very disappointed to see that a lot of the larger venues were sealed off with huge fences so you couldn't get close to anything to take good pictures. Got some great shots of the Colorado State Capital building and some others. Will definately have to schedule a 2nd visit to Denver when there isn't such a crowd in town. Tomorrow will be a very early moring for the trip back to Atlanta - gotta get up a 3AM! Ugh. But so goes travel sometimes. :-)
