The living room at mom's condo. Small but very cosy.

When the time got close to boarding the train, we made our way down to the train platform. When the train finally arrived, it was crowded, but we managed to get seats next to each other. During the 1-1/2 hour train ride to Gävle, the train made many stops, usually picking up and dropping off many teenage kids. This, and bicycles, seems to be the main mode of transportation for them because at each train stop, you’ll see anywhere from 50 to 100+ bicycles parked.

Finally the train arrived in Gävle where we were greeted by Lena’s brother Göran. He first drove us to their house about 10 minutes away, then after hello’s from Bibi, Göran’s significant other, and dropping off our luggage, Lena & I drove out to her mom’s condo, about 10 minutes away to have dinner. It was here we also meet up with Lisa, Göran & Bibi’s 14 year old daughter, who also joined us for dinner. After the four of us had a very yummy dinner, Lisa headed home while Lena & I stayed a while longer and chatted with her mom. We then drove back to Göran’s house and called it a night.
