In flight from Iceland over Sweden
Iceland to Stockholm
The three hour flight from Iceland to Stockholm was smooth and uneventful. We were served breakfast, which wasn’t to bad, but I guess you can’t expect much. It’s not like they have a real kitchen on board.
The weather in Stockholm was clear and very nice, about 18 degrees Celsius, 64 Fahrenheit. After we collected our luggage, we went up to the main terminal and found the train counter. Here we collected our tickets to Gävle where Lena’s brother would meet us. We had about two hours before our train was scheduled to depart, so we spent the time watching the Olympics on the large TV screen in the airport. There was a very large area set up inside the airport with all types of displays explaining the different Olympic events with pictures of all the Swedish Olympions, and they were handing out Swedish flags while cheering for the home Country. They even had a ping pong table, a rowing machine and other training equipment showing what the Olympic athletes train on to prepare for the games.
We also saw many interesting people and fashions during our wait, which did make the time pass much faster.
