We had a quick breakfast at the restuarant, and then said adios to Veranevas. It was pouring down rain today, so we decided to start the 90 minute drive back to Panama City.
We arrived back at Bruce´s condo around noon. I did some laundry and met Dayana for a quick coffee. Turns out she lives in Panama City so figured it would be nice to have another friend there.
Then Bruce took me to the airport to meet up with Adam and catch our 3:30 flight to island Bocas de Toro. We met Adam with no problem - upon pulling up to the airport, there we was. So we said adios to Bruce, and Adam and I took the small plane to Bocas.
We found our bed and breakfast, Cocomo by the Sea.
Later that night, we met some friends of friends for dinner at El Pecado. These friends are marine biologists doing some work here on the island for a few days, before heading back to their labs at the smithsonian in Panama City. Great dinner.
On our way home, Adam and I stopped in at the bar Iguanas to check out the night life. With dancing bartenders, strong drinks, local music, and tequila shots free for ladies, this place looked like it had potential - despite this actually being a bit of the slow season. We were both pretty tired, maybe due to heat and humidity, maybe due to travel. So we headed home.
