Early morning at Snow Park

This morning we got up and were watching the championship skiing through the living room window at our accomodation in Cardrona Snow Park.  We waited til after 12pm and decided that we could carefully, safely walk down to the cafe for lunch.  We knew that some one else would be checking in to the appartment in the afternoon so we went to lock our bedroom door.  Hmmm. The door would not catch therefore not lock.  We wandered down to the cafe/bar/reception area and thought it would be a good idea to tell them about the door and then have lunch.  Now the nightmare continues!

When we finally got to speak to some one other than bar staff, we told them the problem with the door.  They were confused!  We shouldn't be in that room either as some one else was supposed to be checking into that room.

I couldn't see the problem as there are 4 bedrooms in each appartment.  However, they decided that they wanted to move us again! to appartment 3 room 3.  To top it off, they said we had no right using the living area as that cost extra!  Needless to say, we packed up and left. Wish that we had been in the Snow Farm after all.

Well, now it was mid afternoon, no lunch and where should we go?

We headed for Queenstown which isn't far away, stopping along the way to take a photo of a tree that we had photographed last year. Then had a very late lunch in Queenstown.  Because we had stayed there for so long last year, we decided to head for Invercargill.

The weather had come in miserable, it was getting late, so we booked into a unit in the holiday park just out of town. It suited our purposes, we had our microwave type dinner and we were warm and comfortable for the night.

OMG, I guess no TravBuddy will ever go stay at that place now! Maybe you should have told them you were one of the roving reporters for TB and they might have treated you better!
