MGMT
Flogging Molly
Alanis Morrisette
The Kooks

Verdict: Didn't see very much of MGMT or Flogging Molly or Alanis, heard they were great though! And the others were good. The Kooks were a bit crappy since the singer was sick.

We spent most of the day just relaxing, getting our bearings and fixing up the tent that we set up at 2am in the dark. We also aquainted ourseves with the dodgy element in the African Village who were more than happy to sell us weed!

Sziget is held on Oubudi Island in the Danube, the river than divides Buda from Pest. It is easily the size of Vondelpark in Amsterdam. It is a maze of pedestrian paths leading to Stages and food and markets and chill out zones and showers and protests and everything a festival should be. We quickly learned that you would be waiting a good two hours to use a shower and they were freezing cold!

The camping ground was like a small city, it had its own "Breakfast Bar" which didn't actually sell food, only beer for breakfast! There was also a supermarket styled like of grocers where you have to ask at the counter for everything. They very much understood the needs of European campers.. there was never a shortage of cheese or bread!
