Unforgettable night in Bangkok

Complete Bangkok Team!!

My journey to come to Bangkok Meet Up was not easy. Everything seems not in the right place. Starting from my flight from Pekanbaru to Kuala Lumpur was delayed for 2 hours and it meant there would be a big possibility I would miss my connecting flight from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok. Fortunately, I made it 15 minutes to checked-in before the counter closed :)

I said it was just the start! Then in my flight from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok, I experienced horrifying turbulence! It was soooo bad that made me down on my knee and say a prayer.

The Flood

Once I arrived in Khao San Road area, I tried to withdraw some money from 4 different ATM machines from different banks to pay for my hostel and my card was rejected! Oh my…

I’m happy that I’m so smart to always bring some US$ with me, so I changed them to the nearest money changer and checked in at Thai Cozy House.

I was getting ready to come to Hippie de Bar restaurant where the Meet Up was and the heavy rain started pouring! NNNOOOOO WAAAYYY!!! It made me a little bit pissed because I have no umbrella and I didn’t wanna walk under the rain since it’s gonna ruin my look that night! I have to look good for TB people. Haha! Then my cellie rang and Dodge was on the other line said “bring your ass here! We’ve been waiting for you forever! Haha!!”

No choice, I walked under the rain with my pashmina to cover my head.

But my bad luck ended there!!! Once I walked in to the restaurant I heard people screaming “RIIINNNNIIII!!!!” I couldn’t do anything other than smiling at them! It was so touching to know that these people recognized me even though this is only the first time they met me in real life!  I got warm welcome from each one of them. So nice :)

Then while having our dinner and drink (DUH) we tried to get to know each other better. Everyone moved from one spot to another spot to be able to talk to everyone. Laugh and scream filled this place. Flashes from different cameras filled up this place. Every time someone took our picture it always followed by people saying “ONE MORE! ONE MORE” Bwahahaha……It was real FUN! Obviously everyone wanted to keep the memories on this event for the rest of our lives!

After dinner we continued our party and headed to Gazebo.

Friends are obviously were shocked to know that I don’t drink alcohol. May asked me “Babe, can you have fun without alcohol?” Bwahaha, that’s drunken talk I guess! Erna wouldn’t believe it either because she said “Rini, you flashed your boobies before. I know you did it when you were drunk!” Bwahaha…

We danced and drank like crazy in this place! Everyone was really enjoying! I couldn’t really say much about the party since drink and dance are the only main things we did there! Haha..

It was around 2:30 AM when the party was over.

Special thanks goes to my beloved JC for his determination to give me pressure to come to the meet up since 2 months ago :) I had a blast!!  Oh and The Thai Girls.. New, Dodge and Aioh.. you girls ROCK!!!
