KL for a couple of days

Very early flight on Air Asia from SR to KL got us there in good time. The humidity hits you right as you leave the plane,
The yellow bus was waiting outside to take us to the central station, it left when it was full, which didn't take long. We drove for about 45 minutes passing pretty much nothing but plantations for palm oil.
From central station we made our way to the monorail station to take off for Golden Triangle. KL public transit is impressive, easy to use, clean, fast efficient etc. The monorail ride gives a nice intro to the city and the architecture. The second you step out to the street you can't help but notice Petronas, the towers are massive! The streets were very quiet near our hotel, not really anyone moving around and not a lot of shops or anything. We walked over to the hotel.
I stayed at the Renaissance which is nice place to stay and was reasonably priced. There are two towers, one much more posh than other it seemed as they ushered me and my rucksack away from the posh check-in counter over to the economy class check in. The tower we did stay in had nice views of the towers which were really cool at night.
We ate at the cafe there and booked a trip that eve to Selangor. The food was pretty grim which would be the case for the remainder of the stay at that cafe. Off for a half day journey to see some fireflies.
