Edinburgh

Caught my flight in the morning to Edinburgh, Scotland.  Found my way to the hostel and started exploring the city.  I made it just in time for the free tour around the city.  The tour was pretty interesting, he took us to all the historical sites of the city. After the tour I made my way to Edinburgh Castle to check out the Crown Jewels of Scotland. The castle was built on top of a volcanic plug, there use to be a man made lake around the castle.  The lake became too dirty so they drained it, now it's a beautiful park surrounding the castle. The view from the castle was really nice, you could see the whole city from up there.  I wandered around the Castle with my audio guide and finally found the crown jewels.  It was pretty cool, there was a crown, sword, sceptor, and the stone of destiny.

It started getting dark so I headed back to my hostel.  Didn't stay out too late because I wanted to be well rested for my 5 day Haggis Adventure tour.
