Casbah

A collection of pictures and reviews from the years I lived in Pittsburgh while going to grad school.
Mediterranean in the Shadyside Neighborhood of Pittsburgh
A night at Casbah is like taking a step outside of Pittsburgh. From its heated partially open patio, to its modernized rustic Mediterranean decor, it is easy to get swept away in your surroundings. Menus change daily but include a few signature items that remain on the menu year round (try the locally raised lamb osso buco or the orecchiette). Most menu items have distinctive Mediterranean flair, but expect to find some globally inspired dishes too (dinner entrees range from $19-40). A chef's tasting menu is available every day and may be ordered with an optional wine pairing. The wine list is extensive with bottles ranging from $20-$250 and wine flights are offered for those who would like to try multiple vintages. The dessert menu is not to be missed and includes a cheese and after-dinner drink section.
