My first taste of Guiness on Irish soil!

Dublin is a fantastic city, it doesn't make it into my top 5 cities but nontheless, I had a great time, the Temple Bar area rocks! I've posted some reviews of our hotels/restaurants etc. A couple of points though; Dublin seems to be 90% male, by day and night there was a really noticeable lack of women. Great if you're on the look for a home-grown Irish fella, not so great if you aren't cause they are persistant to say the least!; Drinking in Dublin is really expensive, probably the highest price drinks i've come across anywhere in the world - we paid minimum of 12 euro for 2 bottles of corona.

My top tip: If you want to get to know Dublin, its streets, its people, then wait till about 4am and go for a walk. Head along the river, up through the streets of Temple Bar and past Trinity College. The streets are still buzzing with life and if you like to people-watch when you're travelling like I do, you'll have a ball! There are loads of places to munch at that time too should you get peckish, the fabulously named 'Abra-kebab-ra' for one!

Samsara says:
Abra-kebab-ra rocks! Garlic mayo over hot fries is a great way to end the night. Not so great the next morning though...
