Getting to the boat

Brest Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

No plane, but a train and the wind will take me to see French isles and the Channel islands. The island Sark is certainly enviroment friendly: cars are not allowed on this island. Locals travel by bike or horse and carriage. The famous writer Victor Hugo loved to recycle things. A door became a table. A clock was made into a cabinet etc.

Getting to the boat

Several trains and the metro (Oisterwijk - Rotterdam / Rotterdam - Paris Nord / Paris Nord -  Montparnasse / Montparnasse – Rennes / Rennes – Brest) brought me to the French city Brest. It was temting to go shopping in Paris. I was waiting for the train to Rennes and  saw LaFayette. But unfortunately we didn’t have time to leave this railway station.
