bicycle trip today! visited efish cafe, bought some whale meat (and it is no wonder people like it, it tastes good, sort of like, meat), cycled all the way through the streets and had picnic in the afternoon. haven't really cycled in such a big group before (about 12) and we are all amateur cyclists (some haven't cycled for the past 10 years)! mood was pretty tense throughout but we kept it low. bought another rainbow! just thought someone would like it. the tense mood was rising to an unbearable high when we decided to visit the ryoanji temple.(we had wanted to cycle over but after getting on a cab and sitting in it for the next 30 or so minutes, we realise it was madness) surprisingly, ryoanji absolved us of our tenseness. maybe it was the rocks. or maybe it was the sands. but the inner peace, the peace we make with each other by the end of the visit, was amazing. it was amazing how 12 people would feel at ease with each other again after a visit to one temple. it's just not heard of before, at least not to me. spent the night talking to v before realising we had less than 3hours of sleep before my flight tomorrow. v and j are going to tokyo for another week while i was gonna fly back. the whole trip wasn't superbly amazing, but i am quite sure most of the 12 people found a part of themselves, and of each other. the inner peace one got from the trip was undeniable.
