we did a bamboo forest trip early in the morning and stayed there for a short design discourse. this is like the main event in the whole trip, what was supposed to be a bonding and discussion event and the weather gave us absolutely no problems at all, being outdoors and stuff. the whole atmosphere was pretty tranquillizing and peaceful, especially when the wind blew and the bamboos started swaying with the rustle of leaves, dropping them on us with a slow float down to the ground. oh and we decided to build a bridge of wood pieces across the small river for the ladies (all in the name of fun to lighten the mood) but causing more pollution in the end by cutting off the stream and increasing the mud flow, so we tore it off instead. had chinese fare for lunch (dumplings! the cook's from china, a decade ago and never looked back) and visited ginkakuji temple. i kind of like it there, the team's overall mood wasn't as tense at the moment but everyhing fell apart again by evening. walked in the streets and by the river, the weather was getting terribly warm at the moment and we all had to take off out jackets. funny things we saw by the river. fishes dogs and flowers. bought a rainbow! anyway it was fun going through the garden and hedges with all the greenery around, reminds you that it doesn't have to necessarily be metal and glass. had dinner late at night and walked around abit before going back to the hotel.
