Just a few good places to stay
If anybody is around over here ive written down our best places. (Bar one in rio) All these places are very clean and with friendly local owners.
In Parati: Stay at Josephs pousada. ´Pousada Familia. It´s in the old town on the mainroad (Right, just behind a petrol station) just before the bit were no cars are allowed in. Joseph is belgium, speaks english and runs a nice place! 60 reals for a double room.
The beach before Santos: Camping Massaguacu. Estrada caragua -Ubatuba km 92. Praia do massaguacu -caraguatuba - Litoral norte - SP. Basic campsite with shelters to put up tents under. 15 reals pr night per person.
In Apiai: Hotel Sao Francisco, Rua Dr. Gabriel R dos santos, No 220 - Apiai -SP. This place is excellent and only 15 Reals pr night per person, Our cheapest in Brazil yet.
In Rio de Janeiro there´s cheap accomodation in Gloria, just before the centro area. Hotel Riazor costs 80 real pr night but you almost get a flat. On the copacabana Brazuka hostel, were se stayed half the time, is majorly overpriced at 100 real pr night and it´s generally rubbish all round!
