The
There is so much to experience when you just get out and walk around the city.
I love the Denver Public Library. The architectural concept is that of an Italian village. You get that sense when you walk along outside it as well as when you explore the various public places in side. I spent a many of days inside doing research or just looking for a job. Those were some of the good memories. You can see that the eauty is not only in the building but the art that is displayed outside. The city is filled with so many interesting other spots including the performing arts center, the 16th Street Mall, the Civic Center, the City and County Building and the Dallas Museum.
The lights that are on the building are spectacular during the Christmas season. People come from near and far to see them. I was really fortunate to live just minutes away. Although this trip was in the summer, the memories of the four seasons are not complete without looking across from the capial and imaging all the colorful lights that graced the building just hundreds of feet away.
What visit would be complete without visiting Invesco Stadium. This where the Denver Broncos football team play and where, then Presidential candidate Obama accepted his parties nomination for presidential candidate. The stadium took the place of the old Broncos stadium named, Mile High Stadium. I loved going to all the football games. John Elway was the quarterback at that time and Mike Shannahan was the coach. Man, that stadium rocked every home game. Although Invesco is beautiful, the memories of Mile High stay with me.
