The journey begins

This morning the journeys starts. As part of the organisation of the trip I had to go early to the train station. I had to buy the tickets for the group and the others waited to gather everyone. Because you can't buy more than 4 at a time it was a little hustle to buy all the tickets (21 total). The people who also wanted to buy tickets weren't really pleased with me because it took quite some time ^^
At 08.15 the people from the group started to arrive and we gave out the caps and song booklets. The train left at 08.30 and everyone was in time to get on the train. From Nijmegen we left to go to Eindhoven. At the train station at Eindhoven we had to take the bus to the airport which didn't take very long to wait for.
When we arrived at the airport we went for the check-in area, as a group we divided us on the 2 counters but we were taken out and got our own check-in counter because we were with quite a large group, this was a great service for us and 20~30 minutes later everybody was checked in. Because the check-in went so smooth we had quite a large amount of time left before the plane would leave, thus people could shop, drink and eat. This was comfortable because the plane left at 12.00 so we could eat lunch before we left.
At 12.30 the plane left and we all were ready for a nice flight.
The plane landed at Pisa a bit later than was planned but we left with more delay so we didn't really mind. At Pisa a friend of us and our bus driver waited for us so we could walk to the bus, load our luggage and leave for San Gimignano.
After a trip of 1.5 hours we got at our destination. We walked to the monastery and when we arrived there everybody went to their room to settle and relax for a bit. At 19.30 supper was served and it was like before, great food! After the dinner we went to the city centre to get an ice cream and a beer. The latter was quite disappointing because the price had risen with 60% to the price of 2 years ago...

That was the end of the first day, the next will be the first day of work!
