if only i don't bend and break, i'll meet you on the other side ^_^

i was so sleepy last night - a day withouth sleep took its toll on me, when i got home from meeting henning and with poodle - i slept like a rock! hahahaha. i invited henning if he wants to come with us the next day, but i received a sms from him that he cant *sniff* there will be next time, im sure! ^_^

now the plan i made for us - was to go very west of germany in a city called aachen but its much more well known in the area in its french name - aix-la-chapelle because its in the border of the francophone countries.

its one of the most oldest cities in germany - in fact - charles the great (also known as carlo magno, charlemagne or karl der grosse) was crowned in the cathedral.

i had only been in aachen twice my lifetime here in germany! its not that far, but i dont have any friends there to visit!

so me and poodle agreed to meet at 9:30 am in the central station of düsseldorf - but i changed the plan hahaha 10. 30 since i want to sleep long ^_^

after the plan to aachen, i want to show him my favorite city in belgium - liège which is not far from aachen ^_^

at düsseldorf central station, we bought tickets to aachen, now most tourists dont know about this - but you can buy NRW tickets for a day for only 33 euros until 5 persons and you can travel the whole of north rhein wesfalia bundesland of germany until 3:00 am the following day (but only using sbahn and re trains) so its much cheaper than normal ^_^

it was quite a smooth drive to aachen, except the poodle twisted my leg again! hahahahahaha.

at the aachener central station, we went to find out the train schedules and prices to liège, belgium and it was cheap!!! ^_^ only 14 euros per person roundtrip! so we got it! - i dont know how to navigate liège by train - coz since the last time i went there its always with a car ^_^ but we only have two hours in aachen, since we both decided that we gonna spend most of our time in liège.

when we went to the old town of aachen - poodle was so excited!!! hahahahaha it was easy for me to say things to him, because naturally i know the history of the city also in the center of the town is a fountain with puppets you can play ^_^

he was so amused and excited playing with the fountain puppets! hahahahahahaha i dont know whether to laugh or cry! hahahahaha.

we walked around the old town, and he was still in a daze seeing massive structures from 3 different epoque - holy roman empire, medieval and gothic at the same time! i am excited too since i am proud to show these things ^_^

but time was running fast than we expected! so we have to hurry back to the central station - the poodle is strange he doesnt wanna go back to the same direction, so we took another one and we. ...... GOT LOST hahahhaa.

i asked about 3 times where the central station is, and 2 people gave me different answers! arghhhhhhhhhhhhh the most ridiculous one was with a guy - i think he was asked 4585065069 times in his life where the central station of acchen is, he just gave us a harried look and abrupt answer AND WRONG DIRECTION hahahah. a nice lady the 3rd one, was so nice and helpful she gave us the right direction! ^_^

we have to hurry coz we have to be on time and thank god we are! ^_^

while waiting for the train, i have to find a smoking section, so we have to go to the most FARTHEST SECTION of the rail tracks. we were cursing each other so loud, that someone spoke to us in english! hahaha theres an american who was living for 6 weeks in aachen, and he was also in our side of the tracks. he was so nice and friendly and he had been learning german for 6 years! wow! he speaks it perfeclty that i am ashamed of my german! hahahah the poodle was just quiet because we are talking in german. hahaha ^_^ and i like the guy - gute laune! hahahahaha weve been talking about his life for 6 weeks in aachen! ^_^ hahahah hes going back to the states at that point and he had to catch a train too to liège. he had about 49740584980ß5935934ß50 BAGS with him!!!!!! i helped him carry one of his bags to the train! poor guy! the poodle just ignored us! well hes jealous! hahaha (kidding ben haha ^_^)

we got settled and the guy sat across us and we talked. now were ready for liège!
