An early morning walk along the lake side

It’s so good to be back home, to meet again with family & friends, and enjoy the magnificent scenery around the lake of Annecy!

This first morning of my visit I woke up early because of the jet lag so went for a little walk along the lake side and into the old city. It was a perfect morning and at this time of the day it was incredibly quiet. The light was amazing. I knew that later in the day the area would be packed with tourists and locals coming for a stroll.

What a fantastic way to start a holiday! I think I need to do more of these early morning walks and just hope that the weather stays as good during the coming weeks…
