Day 2 in KL

Ok so my second day, started getting a bit of a feel for the weather and my surroundings... although it did take me until about 3pm to actually leave the pool and begin my outing!
Since it was a nice afternoon I decided to head to a place called "Lake Gardens" which apparently has a really nice lake and flower gardens, butterfly gardens, bird garden and a few other nice things to look at...
So I started off ok, walking to the mono rail station from Pauls house. As I was crossing the road someone said hello and started talking to me. This was JD, my new sexy african friend. After almost getting hit by a car while stopping to talk, i suggested we finish crossing the road. So since JD had nothing on that afternoon, he decided to come to the Lake Gardens with me.
Ok so, normally I am pretty good with maps and directions... however I will just give this small bit of advice... if you are using google maps etc, make sure u check the satelite image too... its not very fun when you realise its a massive freeway and the only way to cross over is to walk about 5kms around it... either that or I was going the wrong way anyway... probably a little bit of both!
So after about half hour walking and asking questions we were getting close. One last big hill and we finally reached "The bird garden" probably the garden i LEAST wanted to see, but we were there and not wanting to seem like i got us TOTALLY lost, i just agreed when JD asked if this was where i was trying to get to.
Luckily for me I didnt have to waste any money on the birds i couldve seen at the zoo at home, as JD was nice enough to pay :)
It wasn't THAT bad i guess.
Ok so after some looking around it was time to head off. JD bought me a little stuffed tiger (hehe how date like) and we decided it would be much easier to just catch a cab back to BBPlaza!
After getting home and chilling for a little bit and waiting for Paul to get home from work, we headed into china town to get some dinner.
Once again yum yum yum food!!! And definately the place to go shopping and haggle... not that i did any shopping though- even though my bag was almost falling off my arm it was that broken, i was persistant that i would wait till phuket to do my shopping!
After shopping we walked to the Petrona towers...
In photos I have seen of them they never really amazed me that much... but when you're actually there looking at them they are awesome! Seriously i could've stared at them for hours... although my neck was sore after 5 mins and i gave up then.
After i got all my touristy shots, we caught a cab home and after watching a bit of "engineering gone bad" on the history channel, thought it was time to sleep!
