From "Little Gidding" the last of T.S. Eliot's poetic work in his Four Quartets

For those that follow my blogs from time to time, the astute reader will sometimes notice an interconnectected structure. I always like to point them out anyway. This blog on Lyon, France was preceeded by "Land of the Midnight Sun", and then "So, this is Hell?" in Norway. Following this blog I travelled to Zurich, Switzerland and that is covered in an entry in the blog "The Adventures of Erasmus & Swiss Miss". A funny thing happend on the way from Lyon to Zurich and I got off on the wrong station for the exchange train crossing from France to Switzerland. Turns out some other people made the same mistake. Misery loves company, eh? Anyway, we put our heads together and figured we could get a bus to Geneva and then reconnect to where we wanted to go with the same train tickets. So, that's what we did and got a tour of Geneva in the process. Not a bad detour as it turned out and Geneva is quite nice. I got to see the Jet d'Eau passing by...

The trip from beginning to end (USA to Norway to Hell to Paris to Lyon to Zurich and back to the USA) had strange occurances all along the way. Some trips are like that, but this one was a very strange few weeks. I like affirmations in life and they are common enough these days on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and such places. I thought a good deal about such affirmations in 2008 before all that watered it down and maybe I can share them here in my Lyonescence, so to speak!
