Schlammersdorf - A mini Oktoberfest!

We went with some of our German friends tonight to a little local fest in Schlammersdorf (or so we thought a little local fest). When we arrived there were spotlights beaming in the sky and busses and cars galore! We parked out in this field with the many other hundreds of cars and walked over to the main tent. This was about 9:00 p.m. and the band was in full swing as well as the crowd. An empty table or bench could not be found. People were already on the tables dancing to the tunes of the band (i.e. Sweet Home Alabama, Country Roads, and all your typical top forty fest songs). We stayed in that tent for a bit (that's where all the pictures were taken) and then we headed to another tent just outside the WC (bathroom) outside corridor that connected the two.
Unfortunately, this was a last minute affair for us, so we couldn't stay long but either next week or the week after that there should be a big Kirwa (another local fest) taking place either next week or the week after. I'll be sure to post any blogs or pics if we attend that (which, hopefully we will).
