Today was busy. Very busy. We decided we were done walking here to kingdom come so we bought ourselves a 24 hour tour bus pass that took us pretty much to every tourist sight in the city. We started off the day by watching the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace. It was extremely crowded, but we had gotten there really early and got a place right up at the fence. The whole ceremony took about an hour, but we got bored and left before it was finished, not by much, 5 minutes later we were down the street when everybody paraded out. Jumped on the bus and took an audio tour, then tried to get on another bus to take us to Kings Cross, but we had missed it, so we decided to walk.
Platform 9 3/4 was right there for us to try our luck getting through, but I think Dobey was playing with the barrier again, cause it wouldn't let us through. Oh well. Took the underground back to Tower Hill and jumped on a live commentary bus and took in more sights. We changed buses 2x, once at Trafalgar's Square and again at the House of Parliament/Big Ben. Lets see, what else did we see, we saw the Royal Mews, where the horses that pull the royal coaches are kept, the London Eye, Trafalger's Square, Piccadilly Circus, Westminster Abbey, and so much more I can't think straight. Even though we didn't do as much walking around as normal, we were still pretty tired. Took the tube back to our hostel and got ready for our big night out on the town.
We got tickets to see Wicked!!! YEAH!!! Best musical ever! Totally recommend it to anyone and everyone. I won't go into details about it cause it'll ruin it, but its a completely different twist to a classic tale and you'll never look at the Wizard of Oz the same again. Totally worth it.
