Dinner Meet up with TB's Blenderboy

Jess (Homeres), Jim (Blenderboy) and his lovely wife Joy! At Conejitos

While I was on vacation back in my hometown of Milwaukee, I had time to get to meet with Jim ( Blenderboy) and his wife Joy!! I was invited to a Mexican restaurant, Conjietos.

I think they were both VERY surprised that I did showed up and that I was really infact the girl that I am from Travbuddy! We had a nice dinner talking about ourselves and especially our travel experiances. I had enjoyed hearing of Jim's and Joy's travels to Africa and Jim's journey through Cuba. I talked about my year tour in Iraq which I hope gave them a perspective of my point of view.

The encounter was nice, I never would have met them because of TB, and I was kinda leery but I guess as long as it was a meet in a restaurant I am all for it! When I come back to Milwaukee to visit I hope to run into Jim and Joy, my new friends

PS--

Conjietos I can say has excellent Margaritas!!

How nice! We did the same thing when we were in New Zealand in August. We met Glennis (Glennisnz) and her husband Erle. They showed as a few things around their area that we would not have known about and we had dinner together at thier local club.

I understand what you mean; I've met so many wonderful people that I probably would have never met AND am so glad I did! As long as it's a public place, until you get to know each other and then you can move on from there! I must say that I've met at least 4 BEST FRIENDS on Travbuddy that live within 10-20 miles from me and we now get together at least 1-2 times a week!

If you're ever in LA, let me know - would enjoy meeting you!
