Got up incredibly early to have breakfast Maccas again (I seem to have eaten more then I do normally do in a year), and in the lobby with the rest of the group for a three hour drive to the Great Wall. We got there eventually and started the climb from which a load of locals walked with us trying to sell us stuff as well climbed up incredibly steep steps – but they were being helpful and I succumbed and bought a book (which in hindsight could have haggled down even less). The view were beautiful and the wall appeared to stretch and after going past about 20 towers along the undulating wall we stopped for lunch. We carried on going up and down and eventually crossed a river – some people went on a death line zip wire – but we my luck with stuff going missing I preferred to walk it down. Back on the bus and through all the traffic in Beijing we persuaded the bus driver to stop off at the Bird’s Nest Stadium and the Water Cube where we got some good photos of it all lit up, and back on the bus to the hotel. For dinner went to one of the malls off the street and had a Chinese version of a Singaporean Seafood Noodle Dish
