After very little sleep our train arrived late but not too badly int Chang MIa we got a minbus to the hoitle (via a quant little resttuarnat aimed at toiursits - mind it did have beutiful toilets inside). Afte duping our bags w then drove to a pale were able to get rides on elephants. Me and Do8g manage to get our slved on the big male bull elephant who towered above all the elepthants., andd a fun little adventu5e we had, narrowly avoiding a tree bieng pulled on us by our elephant. After words we got off and we fed them bannnanas- like horses they seem to eat all the time. A few of us got on the back of a pickup truck and up rivier onto Bambbo rafts, our raft seemed to have a 13 year old in charge., and eventually we all eneded up etting splashed or falling in. On the way back to the hotel we stopped for lunch, After a bit of rest we went up a really long hill with our guide Bom to Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep Rajvoravihara bascially anotehr big goilden temple fjull of buddas on top of a tall hill overlookign the city and managed to see a the buddist moinks douing a ceremony. We got back eentually trhough all the traffic, went for out for a meal and then walked thorugh the nith market - managed to haggle yslef a tshirt downto a lower price. Before bqack to the hotel for bed.
